A PATH in THE RIGHT DIRECTION

I am running for re-election on the Tri-City Healthcare District Board to restore patient trust in our physicians to provide the highest standard of care possible for North County Residents. As a frontline physician, I have a unique perspective on the inner workings of our healthcare system, and after serving as a Director on the Tri-City District Board, I have first-hand experience identifying what works and what can be improved across all departments and specialties throughout the District.  My perspective and experience fuel my drive to improve patient care through positive operational change across all areas of Tri-City Medical Center, as well as improve patient-physician trust that is vital to the wellness of our community and quality of life in North County San Diego. We only succeed when we lift all those around us, and lifting the quality of care at Tri-City and elevating the trust our community has in its caregivers will continue to be my top priorities as a member of the Tri-City Health District Board.

COVID RESPONSE

  • Ensured the safety of our staff, physicians, and patients by providing adequate PPE and vaccines in-house.
  • Vaccinated over 40k community members in our TCMC vaccine clinic and at home for those most at risk
  • Educate community members and patients of the importance of masking and providing educational information on vaccine safety and efficacy.

PSYCHIATRIC HEALTH FACILITY

  • Project in conjunction with the County will bring much needed mental health services to the District
  • Treatments will be offered as both inpatient and outpatient services

EMERGENCY ROOM MODERNIZATION

  • In partnership with the TCMC Foundation, the renovations are currently underway
  • Decrease patient's time in the ER by increased throughput and efficiency
  • Elevate community pride in a modernized and efficient Emergency Room

FINANCIAL TURNAROUND

  • Tough decisions around staffing and services were made to ensure the sustainability of TCMC
  • Through vigorous strategic planning and strong leadership we have turned around the finances to a positive EBIDA and positive EROE which we haven't achieved in almost a decade.
